Art on Chairs – Beijing Design Week

Art on Chairs foi uma iniciativa do Município de Paredes com o objetivo de reposicionar o território como referência no sector de mobiliário de excelência, promovendo o diálogo entre criadores e produtores, cultura e economia, valências locais e oportunidades globais. Neste sentido, entre janeiro de 2014 e julho de 2015 realizaram-se um conjunto de concursos, exposições e outras atividades educativas e culturais, bem como uma itinerância internacional.

Art on Chairs was an initiative of the Municipality of Paredes in order to reposition this cityas a reference in the production of high-quality furniture, promoting dialogue between creators and producers, culture and economy, local and global opportunities. For that purpose, between January 2014 and July 2015 were held competitions, exhibitions and other educational and cultural activities, as well as international tour.

Este catálogo foi publicado no ámbito da participação do Art on Chairs na Beijing Design Week em setembro de 2014.

Esta presença internacional foi a primeira exposição de uma itinerância que começou em Pequim e terminou, em 2015, após um conjunto de exposições nacionais e internacionais nas principais feiras de design de mobiliário.

This catalog was published in September 2014, during the presentation of Art on Chairs at the Beijing Design Week.

Beijing was the first stage of Art on Chairs’ international presentation; the first stop of a tour that started in China (September 2014) and culminated in 2015 with a national and international circuit through the main furniture design fairs.
